we thought about ways of
improving them. 1. PROBLEM:
One thing that we noticed was that the design of the
average foot pedal blocked many of the holes and restricted drainage. SOLUTION: This scoop will drain faster than any scoop on the market! And, it is tested and proven to be very strong! 2. PROBLEM: Most handles are fastened to the scoop basket by using two 'U' bolts, putting all of the pressure on narrow bands of the handle straining the wood starting with the first time you scoop! SOLUTION, Our hardwood handles are cradled in a stainless steel sleeve which distributes the load over a bigger area of the handle which equals longer handle life! Also, our handle is not taking up space inside the basket making it harder to clean out, this speeds recovery time! |

PROBLEM: The welds on many of
the water scoops were

holes at the tip of the scoop bill to increase drainage. We felt these small holes are a great idea, but, they should be deep in the scoops throat to catch the small gold and silver treasures! SOLUTION, The small drainage holes are where they belong, everywhere! They are put to work catching the diamond earrings, small gold chains . . .the tiny treasures! |
| 5. PROBLEM: Every
veteran water hunter will tell
you that one big pain is chasing ghosts! When the scoop is lifted to the surface the metal targets such as tin foil and pull tabs flutter out the top before you get the chance to see them. SOLUTION: We added a 4 inch cap across the top of the scoop which ads amazing strength to the basket but also captures most fluttering pull tabs and foil. |

6. PROBLEM: By rolling the
basket
into shape you don't get

These scoops have been off the market
for a while because my friend who builds these beauties has had some
health problems which he has been dealing with. One should not assume
these will always be available. If you are a water hunter, who
